Head of Data – Legal – London - £120-140k
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Data to join a global law firm on a permanent basis. This will be a highly important role, establishing and developing data strategy and governance, with a focus on building a strong data culture across the organisation.
This is a hybrid role with three days per week on-site.
The Head of Data will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring data quality for business systems, allowing for effective system integration
- The maintenance and standardisation of data policies (such as data retention) across the firm
- Creating a data governance group, working together to ensure an effective and robust governance framework for data standards is implemented
- Effectively championing data across the business, ensuring all partners and staff understand the importance of data
- Ensure the wider business is in support of innovation using data, as well as data compliance and standardised processes
- Regularly identifying areas to improve data quality, increasing efficiency and reducing risk
- Communicating with and effectively influencing partners and senior management
The ideal Head of Data will have the following experience:
- 3-5 years in a similar Head of Data role
- Extensive experience in the legal sector
- A proven track record of developing and maintaining data strategy
- The ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage expectations around project deadlines
- An innovative nature, able to identify new ways of working
