We are currently working with an established agribusiness in Suffolk that is recruiting for an IT Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This will be a varied role which will contribute towards IT strategy, business systems and implementation of best practices.
This is an ideal opportunity for somebody early on in their IT Management career, or someone in a Team Leader role who is looking to make a step up.
The successful candidate for the IT Operations Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Effective leadership of the IT team, carrying out 1-2-1 meetings and ensuring professional development, providing appropriate training, objectives and feedback
- Working closely with other senior managers to contribute to business strategy and growth
- Responsible for documentation of policies and procedures for IT systems
- Ownership of business systems including the company’s ERP
- Ensuring that IT systems across the business have correct security procedures as well as best practices fully implemented
- Taking a leading role in the implementation of ITIL service management
- Ensuring the IT ticketing system is utilised effectively and that support requests are handled and resolved to excellent standards
- Working on IT projects, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Managing the IT budget, whilst identifying potential IT investments that can improve IT efficiency and productivity and/or reduce risk for users
- Responsible for all IT hardware and software procurement
- Identifying areas for improvement including potential new systems that will support IT strategy and the wider business vision
The ideal candidate for the IT Operations Manager will have the following experience:
- Experience in an IT leadership position with the appetite to increase management responsibilities
- Excellent people-management skills
- The ability to work in a smaller environment with broader exposure across different areas of IT
- Ability to manage ERP systems such as Sage, SAP or MS Dynamics
- Experience in ITIL environments using ticketing systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the business
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- A focus on ensuring accurate and complete documentation across IT systems and processes
- IT Budgetary skills and experience
