We are currently working with a startup business in Oxford that is actively recruiting for a Network Engineer to join them on an initial 3-month contract.
The role will be focused on Embedded Linux networks in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
This is a hybrid role with three days per week on-site in Oxford.
The successful Network Engineer (Linux) will have the following responsibilities:
- Developing network architecture with highly advanced technologies
- Network topology design and configuration
- Monitoring network heath by developing effective diagnostic features
- Finding ways to improve network stability and performance
- Implementation, configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure
- Effective development and optimisation of Embedded Systems, designing with Linux
The ideal candidate for the Network Engineer (Linux) will have the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience with embedded systems network engineering
- Expertise with Embedded Linux
- High level of knowledge with Unix and Linux Networking
- Experience with embedded computers
- An understanding of cellular modem connectivity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels
- Experience with IoT (preferable)
- Understanding of C, C++ or Python (preferable)
