Systems Development Manager - Suffolk - £50k
We are currently working with an established agribusiness in Suffolk who are looking for an experienced Systems Development Manager to join their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone to come in and drive the development and management of web platforms and business systems with a focus on ERP (NetSuite & Sage x3).
You will also lead and mentor the development team (currently 3 direct reports), ensuring their continued professional growth while delivering impactful IT projects.

Responsibilities:
- Development & E-commerce Management: Leading the e-commerce project, managing, and mentoring your team. Conducting audits of existing web technologies, developing improvement plans
- Business Systems & Support: Managing and optimising the Group’s ERP systems, ensuring smooth integration and support. Overseeing web platforms and applications and being the main contact for system failures, implementing contingency plans.
- Leadership & Team Development: Leading the IT development team, ensuring skill growth and effective performance.
- Project Management & Financial Oversight: Managing the development function’s budget and forecast future tech investments. Leading IT projects to ensure timely, successful delivery. Managing supplier relationships, ensuring high service quality and value for money.
- Service Delivery & Supplier Management: Ensuring service excellence across web and business systems, coordinating with IT support. Reviewing and optimising third-party contracts, driving cost efficiencies and service improvements.
Experience:
- With a strong background in e-commerce, ERP, and web technologies, you will be hands-on with the technical knowledge to provide support
- You will have strong team leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skill, with the ability to motivate and mentor your team as well as being able to engage stakeholders across all levels
- You will have knowledge of web technologies, software development life cycles, and best practices for systems integration and maintenance
- You will have solid project management experience including the financial and budget management aspects and be capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and to deliver them on time/budget
