One of our key clients, a nationally recognised company, is actively recruiting for a Telecoms Security Specialist to join them on a permanent basis.
The role will include a combination of technical implementation around network topology and telecoms security as well as managing key stakeholders, all with a focus on the Telecoms Security Requirements (TSR).
This is a hybrid role which will initially be on-site twice a week, reducing to around once a month after 3-6 months.
The successful Telecoms Security Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
- Providing an effective response to telecoms security incidents
- Contributing towards risk assessments, ensuring thorough information is provided
- Supporting the TSR rollout, ensuring its successful adoption
- Regularly carrying out compliance monitoring activities in line with the TSR
- Providing internal technical support on telecoms security
- Regularly communicating with stakeholders, both internal and external and ensuring proper alignment
The ideal candidate for the Telecoms Security Specialist will have the following skills and experience:
- Extensive security experience within the communications industry
- Experience building and maintaining remediation plans
- Proven ability to assess vulnerabilities and introduce effective controls
- A deep knowledge of fixed and mobile architectures
- Experienced with fixed and mobile signalling
- An understanding of emerging technologies as well as security threats in the telecoms industry
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to take technically complex ideas and explain them to non-technical stakeholders
- Radio Access Networks understanding (desirable)
